Winters in Sweden are long, cold and dark… And in our family of growers, hydroponics is something that keeps our growing fingers busy during the winter months. All you need is a plastic container, a seed or small plant, a growing light, hydroponic nutrition and water. This is a great method for planting indoor salads, leafy cabbage or green herbs, such as basil or coriander. If you have an aquarium it’s even better: the water in the aquarium feed your plants! You can build a growing light and growing structure on top of the aquarium and let the roots grow down in the water, giving your fish equal nutrition and hiding places.
